Lara Bruhn

Lara Bruhn is currently co-owner of Mr. Electric of San Antonio and Austin, TX, providing home services to a market of over 5 million consumers in the fastest growing region of the US. She fell in love with the challenge of operating a business in her college days when she became Business Manager of The Daily Princetonian newspaper. Over the ensuing 25 years she has contributed to the success of a wide variety of enterprises, including Accenture, The Washington Post Company, Greater D.C. Cares, Valdosta State University, and two small businesses. Some of her more interesting projects have included: founding the UK office of BrassRing, an HR talent management system, to launch the European sales and service arm; revamping Crimson & Brown, a company whose mission was to promote hiring of diverse candidates in the United States; and growing Prantl’s Bakery, an iconic local bakery in Pittsburgh, PA, to a position of financial health and stability.
Lara spends her free time with her husband, Matt, their two boys, and their dog, Stella, as well as two longhorns, Riff and Raff. She received her bachelor’s degree from Princeton University in 1992 and her MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997.
